Sons of Pavel tournament in Prague has became the place for 4 on 4 polo. This time with less rules (flat pedal and no goalie rules dropped), nevertheless a superb weekend of polo, beautiful summertime Prague and friends. Couple of more shots of some of the friendly faces out there, coming up on bikepolove facebook. Thanks, Prague for hosting. You're consistently proving to be great organisers! |

sons of pavel II
Last weekend was the second edition of Sons of Pavel four on four tournament. In addition to four player team format, there was a no-goalie rule, and flat pedals only policy in place which turned out pretty cool (thanks fixcraft for sponsoring flats for all the players!) It was interesting to watch top players foot down in situations we usually jump out of, and much more tactical play than on our regular format. Also, Dany praised flat pedals for their accessibility - it is much more inviting to newbies to see us play on bikes they could use themselves - not the tricky, professional cleats. I bow my head to that, as we always need new players! Thanks Prague for the amazing weekend, hopefuly see you next year! |

czech hardcourt championship 2015
Last weekend I took part in the smallest tournament ever. So far the smallest one was 2011 (i think!) two on two indoor tourney we organized in Kraków. It was five teams. Prague champs had four teams. I really liked a family sort of vibe at this event! We had polo, music, mulled wine, BBQ, I also brought some single origin coffee and was brewing free coffee for everyone round the clock. After Polish champs, It's another event I'm doing that, hope to make it a habit! Have a look at how cosy it was in Prague last weekend. Congrats to Golem for beating us in the final and to all the other teams out there! |
