I've finally got around looking at pictures from London Open this year. I was traveling and moving thus over a month of delay.
London Open in its fifth year did not surprise with how great of a tournament it always is. Kept low profile this year it reminded me of the first LO, back in 2010, my first international tournament. In 2014 however we had three nice courts and pretty much everything you need at a bike polo event, yet in a really family/punk/party atmosphere. Check out my pictures and brace yourselves for next year: rumor has it It's gonna be a blast! |

london open 2013
While the WHBPC 2013 is taking place in Florida, I'm coming up with the late post on the last big tournament - London Open in it's fourth year of existence. It took a while to finally look into the pictures from the Open this year. For the fourth time coming to the Open no athletic success was accomplished, however It was an opportunity to see familiar faces again and play on some of my favorite courts. LO is always a lot of fun. It's not the Worlds, nor the Euros, therefore the competitive aspect is not overwhelming. At the same time though, you do see top quality polo there! Friday was the bench day (big up for the organizers for making this decision), with the traditional 3 on 3 tourney over the weekend. The Magic Way (Dodi, Emmet, Josh) beat the Milky Way (Will, Clement, Luca) in the first final (disappointing to only see one final). Some off-LO pictures might come up soon, so stay tuned! |

london open day 2 - 26/08/2012
Sunday was more generous to us in terms of weather. I'm posting just game pictures here this time, some of Apollo 3 and Tora Tora Tora (two of four "Polish" teams at the LO), some of the finals, though there was no light. Will put up something more, maybe only on facebook though. |
